The Park Grand Opening Las Vegas

 

On Monday April 4th CEO Jim Murren, Governor Brian Sandoval, Clark County Commissioner Mary Beth Scow, and Southern Nevada Water Authority General Manager John J. Entsminger kicked off the Park’s debut with a news conference and ribbon cutting in Las Vegas.

 
The new park runs from the Las Vegas Strip to the new T-Mobile Arena and features a variety of restaurants: Bruxie, a waffle restaurant; Sake Rok, a Japanese restaurant; California Pizza Kitchen and the Beerhaus were guests can enjoy indoor as well as outdoor dining.
 

Another great feature at the park is the Bliss Dance, a 40-foot tall sculpture of a dancing woman created by Marco Cochrane located at the back of the Park toward the arena. The sculpture made its debut at Burning Man in Northern Nevada several years ago and was later located at Treasure Island in San Francisco.
 

The sculpture, will be lit at night. Also, visitors coming from the boulevard can walk through two walls of running water on their way into the Park.

CHAZZ PALMINTERI OPENS NIGHTCLUB & BAR SHOW EXPO HALL WITH OFFICIAL RIBBON CUTTING

Chazz Palminteri, Academy Award nominated actor, screenwriter, producer and partner of BiVi Vodka officially opened the expo hall at the 2016 Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade Show with a ribbon cutting on Tuesday, March 8, 2016.
“BiVi Vodka has become my passion and I am thrilled to showcase it at the industry’s largest annual bar and nightlife trade show,” remarked Palminteri.
Made from the finest Italian ingredients including Sicilian semolina wheat and the pristine water of the island of Sicily, Palminteri has launched one of the newest handcrafted vodka brands, BiVi Vodka. The name of the vodka, BiVi, means “to drink” in Sicilian and will be the first vodka ever produced in Sicily and brought to America. To create the exclusive BiVi experience, the ingredients are masterly handcrafted at an artisan distillery by Maestro Distillatore Giovanni La Fauci.
“This year, we wanted to make our ribbon cutting special, and what better way to do that than by having actor, producer, screenwriter and partner of the new vodka brand, BiVi Vodka, Chazz Palminteri,” said Kristen Santoro, Nightclub & Bar Media Group conference and content director. “With his launch of BiVi Vodka, it was a great fit with the show and opportunity to introduce his exciting new brand to the industry.”

'For The Love Of Cocktails’ Grand Gala at Skyfall Lounge in Delano Las Vegas

In partnership with MGM Resorts International, local marketing firm BACK BAR USA hosted this year’s grand gala tasting event on Friday, February 12 at Alain Ducasse’s Skyfall Lounge, located on the 64th floor of Delano Las Vegas. Hundreds of guests sipped on more than two dozen specialty cocktails by world-renowned mixologists including Francesco Lafranconi, as well as mixologists from MGM Resorts International, Caesars Entertainment and Downtown Project properties.
Other highlights included passed bites by Rivea Executive Chef Bruno Riou and live entertainment, all set to backdrop of stunning views of the Las Vegas Strip. The gala concluded with members of BACK BAR USA offering a $20,000 check to Tony Abou-Ganim’s Helen David Relief Fund, a non-profit organization that assists female bartenders in need of breast cancer screening services.

Donny & Marie personally unveiled their Madame Tussauds Wax Figures

On Tuesday, February 9th, Donny & Marie personally unveiled their Madame Tussauds wax figures during their first Las Vegas performance of the new year, the figures debuted on stage inside 'The Donny & Marie Showroom' at Flamingo Las Vegas. After the unveiling, the figures will be permanently on display inside Madame Tussauds Las Vegas located at The Venetian.
Donny Osmond and Marie Osmond's figures are the attraction's first new figures for 2016. The figures were created in late 2015. That was when Madame Tussauds' studio team first measured the brother-sister duo. This step of the process involved collecting hand impressions and nearly 300 precise body and facial measurements per person, as well as comparing hair samples and eye color. For measuring, calipers were utilized to ensure accuracy. The figures were then sculpted and perfected in clay by hand. Once this step was completed, the clay was covered by a plaster cast, subsequently the clay was removed from the cast, the wax was poured in and allowed to cool, leaving the shape of the figures. The final weeks of 2015 were spent meticulously inserting each hair by hand then fitted with acrylic eyes and teeth. The final step included countless layers of tinted paint being applied to build up skin tones and replicate their faces.
 
The figures will be dressed in costumes from their show. Marie donated her deep aqua sequined knee-length dress, along with earrings and black and blue platform shoes. Donny gave his figure his black suit and shoes. Both of their wedding bands and rings will be replicated for the figures as well.
